After we have dated for almost two months, my mother joked and told me to bring her to our family vacation. No sooner said than done. A week later we packed our suitcases and were on the way to our family house.
She got along with my family right away. I – all of us – felt like she has always been with us. At that very moment, I felt that she really is a part of us, much more than I could have possibly thought in the past few weeks. Her warmth, contagious cheerfulness and open-mindedness are like no other. We spent ten wonderful days together.
Back home, she stayed for another night. The next day she stayed for one more, and then again… Recently we have packed our bags again – for the move to our first shared apartment.
